ivr_speak_city
Database Systems Corp. (DSC) provides an API subroutine library of IVR Software routines that perform phone functions. The following is a description of one of the functions within this library that controls the IVR operation - ivr_speak_city.
The routine is from our C programming library, although this same routine has an equivalent for Visual Basic, .NET, C++ and Active-X. DSC provides a separate user guide for each of these languages.

ivr_speak_city()

ivr_speak_city(int call,char *text, int allow_interrupt)
The
ivr_speak_city function speaks a city name to the specified call. It
attempts to read the city from a wave file of the same name, stored in the
"Cities" folder. If the city cannot be found, it is then read with
standard text-to-speech. You can re-record the cities already in this folder,
and add your own cities specific to your region and customers.
Parameters

Specifies which call to speak to.
It can be one of the following values.
CALL_PRIMARY: Speak to Primary Call
CALL_SECONDARY: Speak to Secondary Call

Specifies if a digit can interrupt the
city name.
It can be one of the following values.
NO_INTERRUPT: Do not allow reading to be interrupted by a digit
INTERRUPT: Allow reading to be interrupted by a digit

Return Value
Returns
IVR_SUCCESS on a successful function call. On error the function returns one
of the IVR
Error Codes.
